Custom Panels
If your application requires a combination of different kinds of displays and/or components, the CAO Group can bin all the separate parts to your specified color for a complete uniform package. CAO doesn't just offer manufacturing at the component level, we can take it a step further and deliver your panel completely assembled to help streamline your manufacturing process. We've compiled this checklist to help you get started.

Step 1 NDA Sign Non Disclosure Agreement if required by customer     1-2 weeks
Step 2 Information Gathering Panel Layout
Customer provides graphic drawing for the panel and CAO designs individual displays for the panel; or customer specifies what individual displays used for the panel.
Technical Requirements
customer provides mechanical drawings, schematic, color, intensity and other requirements for individual displays 		   
Step 3 Design Individual Displays for standard displays, CAO provides datasheet to customer to confirm; For custom displays, CAO design the products and provides datasheets for customer to confirm. CAO makes changes to the design based on customer’s feedback. Detailed process for individual custom display can be found in the Custom Display Checklist.    
Step 4 Preliminary Quote CAO provides preliminary package quote for the panel and tooling for custom displays.     4 weeks
Tooling Customer provides purchase order for tooling.CAO opens tooling.    
First Article CAO provides first article customer approval.    
Step 5 Graphic Layout Customer provides final graphic layout.     1-2 weeks
Binning and Matching Rules CAO provides binning and matching rules for production.    
Customer Approval CAO provides photos or samples if required. Customer approves binning and matching rules.    
Final Quote CAO provides final quote based on required binning and matching rules and design changes.    
Step 6 Purchaser Order Customer provides purchaser order.     2-4 weeks
Order Confirmation CAO confirms delivery date and start procuring materials    
Production CAO starts production and provides shipping schedule
